About the job

*Contractor position*
Heerema Marine Contractors (HMC) is planning a new semi-submersible crane vessel (NSCV). The vessel’s hull configuration consists of a large deck box mounted on an eight-column structure mounted on two pontoons. Two of the most powerful cranes will be integrated on the vessel. Each crane will be capable of lifting 10,000 tonnes in revolving mode, which qualifies as the largest cranes in the world. The crane boom will have a length of 145 meters and with the boom up, the crane will reach a height of 210 meters above the waterline. HMC has developed with engineering company GVA the basic design package of the new vessel. During the design a lot of attention has been given to ensure the vessel meets the highest health and safety standards and reduce the environmental impact during fabrication and operation to a minimum.
