PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVE OF JOB

Globalization Services (GS) acts as ‘One Face to the Field Organization and SAP Customers’ for all globalization topics: Internationalization, Localization and Translation.

The department consists of more than 20 nationalities representing. Development Units are located in Germany, China, India, Russia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Israel and Portugal.

The department language is English.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

We’re looking for a developer joining our localization development scrum teams, especially for the Business Suite / ERP Financial / Public Sector.

• Analysis and specification of business requirements
• Modelling, design, implementation and test based on SAP’s programming model
• Maintenance and corrections
• Collaborate with other development teams and product management colleagues at Globalization Services who provide localization requirements
• Responsibility to ensure high quality (create and execute test cases, reviews of specifications, design reviews, code reviews)
• Be a part of an Agile (SCRUM) development team

• Close contact with the customers in the countries being localized (from time to time customer visit possible)

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES   

• Degree in computer or natural science or
• equivalent subject
• Excellent analytical and architectural skills
• Very good powers of comprehension, high quality commitment and self-motivating working style
• Ability to quickly acquire thorough understanding in new areas, especially in technologies
• Very good communication skills; fluent English
• Constructive and open style of communication
• Flexibility when dealing with other mentalities and cultures

WORK EXPERIENCE

• Preference to candidates with experience in SAP application development (ABAP / ABAP OO, UI, Workflow, modelling and design)
• Solid programming foundation
• LEAN thinking
• Scrum / Agile development experiences
