Basic Function
The Research Officer will design and implement a survey of livestock farmers that will identify their adoption of key agricultural technologies and their attitudes towards such technologies. The successful candidate will be based at Teagasc’s Rural Economy Development Programme (REDP), Athenry, Galway and will work as part of a project consortium with NUI Galway’s Community Knowledge Initiative (CKI)

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•To familiarize themselves with completed literature review 
•To design a questionnaire
•To implement a telephone survey

Person Specification

Essential
•Candidates must have an honours Level 8 degree in Economics, Agricultural Economics, Innovation Studies, Agricultural Science or a related discipline.

Desirable
•A postgraduate degree and/or research experience in Agriculture would be a distinct advantage
