Global – Water Sector Chiefs of Party

Tetra Tech ARD,headquartered in Burlington, Vermont, is accepting expressions of interest from highly qualified candidates for potential Chief of Party positionsfor upcoming USAID long-term projects in the water sector. We seek development professionals with experience managing large, complex water projects throughout the developing world. This call for resumes applies to projects in a variety of water subsectors and geographic locations including sub-Saharan Africa, Asia, the Middle East and Latin America and the Caribbean. Interested candidates will have strong management and inter-personal skills and experience in one or more of the following technical areas:

  • Sustainable Rural Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH)
  • Urban Sanitation Service Delivery
  • Urban Water Utility Management
  • Water Sector Reform & Policy Development
  • WASH & Nutrition
  • Drinking Water Quality Protection, Governance, and Monitoring
  • Integrated Water Resources Management
  • Agriculture and irrigation water management

Responsibilities

  • Manage project implementation, including overall responsibility for achievement of results, supervision of key personnel and efficient budgeting and financial management.
  • Serve as the principal link between Tetra Tech, USAID, and other partners, including interactions with government officials, key stakeholders in the sector, donor organizations, and civil society organizations.
  • Ensure quality and timely submittal of all project deliverables.

Qualifications

-Advanced degree in engineering, water or natural resource management, public administration/management or other relevant fields;

  • Minimum fifteen (15) years of experience as a Chief of Party or Project Director/Manager on large donor-funded projects; experience on USAID-funded projects preferred.
  • Minimum seven (7) years of experience with successful water related projects (see focus areas above).
  • Demonstrated experience in institutional strengthening, capacity building, market-based approaches to service delivery;
  • Fluency in English required; knowledge of French, Arabic, or Spanish highly desirable.
