Your mission
As a Mechanical Design Teamleader you manage and motivate a mechanical design team. Your responsibilities are:
- Manage and coordinate a team for designing and implementing cost-effective equipment modifications;
- Provide technical leadership on specific tasks particularly mathematical modelling and computer-aided design;
- Discuss and solve complex problems with manufacturing departments, subcontractors, suppliers and customers;
- Able to perform analysis of designs involving mechanics, thermal, and shock & vibration;
- Ensure all projects are conform with organization's established policies and objectives;
- Drive consistency in design philosophy, technical reviews, design tools, and documentation processes;
- Effective at conducting personnel reviews and perform employee counselling;
- Able to critically evaluate advanced concepts and technical approach in cooperation with peers and customers.
Your experience
- Master degree in Mechanics or Electro-mechanics;
- At least 3 years experience in managing a team of Engineers;
- About 10 years of experience in design of machines and mechanical tools;
- Good knowledge of electro-mechanic design and the CAD/CAE tools such as AutoCAD & Inventor;
- Profound knowledge of industry Codes & Standards;
- Hands on, proactive and responsible, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- Result-oriented, self-starting, self-motivated and able to work independently;
- Strong internal and external customer focus;
- Team working and collaboration attitude;
- Fluent in Dutch and English.
