Study of the mechanical, thermal and electric properties of carbon nanotubes, with particular reference to the interactions between heat and vibrations. Modelling of carbon nanotubes as continuous structures on the basis of the elastic thin shell theory. Study of analytical and numerical approaches for modelling the nonlinear dynamic behavior of carbon nanotubes. Localization of the total energy on the surface of carbon nanotubes under various boundary conditions.
