Kongsberg Automotive AB in Mullsjö is part of the Kongsberg Automotive group. The product development within Kongsberg Automotive is subject to global competition, with high demands on our performance. As a Validation Engineer you will be part of a growing R&D department of approximately 100 engineers located in Mullsjö, Sweden. Having global customers and suppliers means a great deal of international contacts. The Driveline Systems Division also has Validation Centers in Wuxi (China) and Novi (USA).
Department
The Mullsjö Validation Center is the biggest in the company and has become an even more important part of our global R&D organization. We now need to build and strengthen our organization to be able to meet the increase in requests and demands within the validation and verification area. Our objective is to be in the global frontline of our product range where electronics is having an increasing impact on our designs. We therefore need to strengthen out capabilities within electronic validation in our new R&D center in Mullsjö.
Job profile
As a Validation Engineer you are responsible for the planning, execution and reporting of the validation needed for our projects. We are constantly developing our validation methods and we see the need of a hungry engineer to grow with us.Skills like planning and resource management is desired to be able to meet the various demands. You should also have practical skills and technical understanding.
You will be a part of one or several project teams working with validation from concept to production. You will be responsible for the electronic testing on a system level working with a lot of engineers both within Kongsberg Automotive but also towards customers and suppliers. You will be working with both low and high-power electronics and will be a part of the build-up of a new validation area within Kongsberg Automotive.
Candidate profile
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in electronics and 2-5 years work experience.
- Knowledge and experience in electronics testing including hardware, software and high power electronics, preferably from the automotive industry.
- Experience in CAN and LIN-bus surveillance and simulations are desired.
- Experience in CANOE/CANalyzer or similar tools are valuable.
- Experience from ISO 16750, IEC 61508, MISRA, Autosar and ISO 26262 or similar is also valuable.
- Experience in EMC testing is valuable.
- In addition to a solid theoretical knowledge also show applied skills in technology handling and practical usage of electronic test equipment.
- Experienced in working in projects.
- Able to work in a structured and independent way taking full responsibility of method development to secure and create technical advancement.
- Team player with a strong drive and a positive attitude.
- Committed, self starting, taking responsibility, high focus and interest to improve the day-to-day work.
- Good knowledge of English is required and of Swedish is preferred. Knowledge of other languages such as German, French, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean is also valued.
