Your Job
Within “Renewable Energy”, you are responsible for the “Development” product, including the due diligence, resource assessments, prefeasibility, feasibility, permitting studies as well as other studies relating to the development of renewable energy projects, for all technologies (wind, solar, thermal renewables,…).
You will actively contribute to the worldwide development of the Renewable Energy activities of Tractebel Engineering. You are skilled to lead a team of Project Managers and Project Engineers inside our Engineering organization. You are motivated by the international character of your function and new technological challenges. You are skilled to lead your team and able to develop and secure the long term collaboration with your Clients.
As Product Manager your main responsibilities are as follows:
- You develop an entrepreneurial spirit of creativity in your teams and a spirit aimed at creating customer loyalty, while preserving the interests of Tractebel Engineering;
- You define the strategy and secure in Europe and on the international market the development of your Product in collaboration with the Product Director, Sales Managers and Business Developers;
- You keep track of project progress and the workload of team members;
- You ensure transparent and effective reporting for projects, bids and current prospecting actions; Your involvement secures the profitability of your projects;
- You ensure the maintenance of skills, know-how and methods as well as the management of feedback on experience in your teams;
- You are responsible for motivating and developing personnel through coaching of project managers;
- You follow-up the technical production of bids and determine the team in charge of carrying them out, the timeframe and the conditions for success;
- You regularly meet customers in order to measure the appropriateness of our achievements in relation to their needs and to detect new business opportunities;
- You secure the back-up of your Project Managers when needed;
- Thanks to your interventions and trough your project teams, you secure the safety, quality and cost of the services offered to our Clients;
- You report to the Product Director Renewable Energy and you make part of the Renewable Energy Department Management Team.
Qualifications
- You have a Master degree in engineering;
- You have at least 7 years experience in project and people management;
- You have experience in the design of renewable energy plants (wind farms and/or solar plants and/or biomass plants,…);
- You have entrepreneurial spirit and you are very good in networking;
- You are fluent in English and have a good command of French and/or Dutch;
- You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You are diplomatic and stress- resistant and you have the ability to deal with complex situations;
- You are flexible and tactful with a high sense of team spirit. You have the ability to work with people from all levels and different countries. You are a good organiser, even in unexpected circumstances;
- You are naturally inclined to listen to customers, to manage and develop a team and to perform multidisciplinary activities;
- You agree to work abroad on a regular basis for short missions.
