This position is responsible for supporting and guiding customers in successfully applying, installing and using testing and measuring products for monitoring the condition of high voltage rotating machines.

• Collect data at customers’ premises

• Supervise equipment installations

• Commission continuous monitoring instrument systems

• Conduct user training

• Provide technical support to customers and other departments

• Writing reports

• Significant travel (70%)

• Perform / supervise offline electrical tests

• Machine assessment on site

Education: 

• Electrical Technician or Engineer. Specialization or interest in high voltage electrical rotating machines is an asset. Above-average proficiency in using Microsoft word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software, preferably with basic knowledge on computer networking 

Experience:

• 2 years of practical work experience, preferably gained through employment with rotating machine manufacturer in a design, manufacturing or site service role, or with power utility or industrial facility in a maintenance capacity 
• Familiarity with using small hand tools and electronic test equipment Preferred: Design of electrical rotating machines and professional engineering qualification 

Communication: 

• Strong verbal and written communication skills to communicate with customers, colleagues and head office, and to write detailed reports; 
• English and French language proficiency required to give direction, instructions and training, preferably with some public speaking experience. German or other language proficiency is a benefit 
• Respect for different cultures and code of conduct at customer premises, with emphasis on following directions relating to personnel safety 
• Good customer care skills
