In order to secure sustainable operations of our Jämsänkoski Industrial Biosciences plant we are looking for Plant Manager.
Role scope:
- Leads site communication, promotion and attainment of the Industrial Biosciences (IB) vision, objectives and strategies;
- Leads site in promoting Core Values and advancing Core Value performance;
- Leads site safety engagement, focus and commitment to zero;
- Drives collaboration within the plant and across global IB Integrated Operations, R&D, Business (with country and regional operations where appropriate);
- Creates a culture of employee engagement, trust and talent development;
- Develops site objectives and strategies in support of and in alignment with business goals;
- Leads plant development of KPI’s in the areas of Delivery, Productivity, SHE & Core Values, Quality, Cost and Morale;
- Leads plant prioritization efforts to achieve/maintain proper balance between Manufacturing Excellence and Continuous Improvement;
- Leads by example – demonstrates felt leadership and modeling the way;
- Performance management of staff (Goal setting, Performance measurement, Recognition, Feedback, Coaching, Counseling, Confronting and Reward);
- Engages site in fixed and variable cost goal attainment, and ensuring achievement of plant PO commitments;
- Relationship builder (Internal and external);
- Challenges paradigms (Leads outside the box thinking);
- Leads site to advance programs – DPS, Six Sigma, ISO, GMP/Quality systems…;
- Leads site in assessing ongoing competitiveness of the facility;
- Leads and promotes community relations activities;
- Ensures Policy administration for the site and consistency with overall DuPont policies.
Qualifications
- University degree in related technical field (Advanced university degree preferred);
- 10 + years industrial bio-tech or chemical experience and 5+ years progressive supervisory experience;
- Demonstrated leadership, collaboration and communication skills;
- Demonstrated capability to quickly understand technology and drive/support change;
- Proven ability to lead cultural changes and create winning teams;
- Proven commitment, focus and effectiveness on advancing core values;
- Is data driven, action oriented and works with a sense of urgency;
- Fluency in spoken and written Finnish and English is required.
