Postdoctoral Researcher - Functional Imaging and Radiotherapy Physics

Hyperpolarized Xe MRI Postdoctoral Researcher
Grade 7: £30,434 - £37,394 per annum

We are looking for a Postdoctoral Researcher to join the Functional Imaging and Radiotherapy Physics group headed by Dr Mike Partridge. You will provide physics support for clinical trials involving hyperpolarized xenon MRI. In collaboration with the Oxford Cancer Centre, the necessary hardware has been acquired and commissioned and exciting clinical trials of this relatively rare technique are already in progress. In addition to data acquisition and processing for trials in progress, you will continue to develop, implement and optimize imaging sequences and clinical protocols.

You will have a PhD in physics, medical imaging or a related subject and relevant experience in MRI. You will also have experience of successfully preparing and submitting scientific data for publication. The ability to work independently and using initiative is essential.

This is a full-time post and is available for 3 years (or to 30 November 2018, whichever is sooner).
