Center for Quantum Devices and the Niels Bohr International Academy at the Niels Bohr Institute and the Department of Mathematics are each offering PhD scholarships in theoretical studies of condensed matter systems and quantum information commencing 1 July 2015 or as soon as possible thereafter.
Our groups work on a variety of topics in both modern condensed matter physics and mathematical aspects of quantum information theory. These topics include quantum transport, topological systems, non-equilibrium dynamics, many-body theory, quantum cryptography and quantum communication theory. We explore close collaborations with local experimental groups at the Center for Quantum Devices. Specific project details will be determined based on the strengths and interests of the selected candidates.
Principal supervisors: The three scholarships are supervised by Associate Professor Mark Rudner, rudner<στο>nbi.ku.dk, Professor Karsten Flensberg, flensberg<στο>nbi.ku.dk, and Professor Matthias Christandl, christandl<στο>math.ku.dk.
