Post Doc Fellowship funded by BASF : Donostia-San Sebastian, Spain

A Postdoc Fellowship to work under the supervision of Prof. Alejandro J. Müller funded by a contract with BASF is available at POLYMAT(http://www.ehu.eus/en/web/polymat/the-institute). The subject of the postdoc is related to the study of the structure and properties of a multi-phase engineering polymer.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Physics or Materials Engineering (or a related discipline) where the candidate had acquired substantial knowledge on Polymer Science. A background in Polymer Physics is an advantage. Experience with polymer characterization by DSC, Polarized Light Optical Microscopy and Transmission Electron Microscopy experimental techniques is sought. Knowledge of nucleation and crystallization kinetics as well as polymer morphology and their relationship to properties would also be a plus.
Good command of written and spoken English is a must (if preselected, a telephone/skype interview will be carried out before the final selection is made). The selected candidate is expected to conduct research, write reports and papers in English. A publication track record is important.
Applications should be addressed to Prof. Alejandro J. Müller and sent via email toalejandrojesus.muller<στο>ehu.es before March 14, 2015 (applications will be considered upon arrival) including:
(i) a cover letter highlighting the interest in the position and experience level
(ii) curriculum vitae
(iii) a short and concise description of previous research (max. 1 page) including references to previous publications.
(iv)The names of two referees with email addresses for contact purposes.
Please note that because of the large number of applications expected, we will not be able to give individual feedback to unsuccessful applications….

Don't forget to mention Naturejobs when applying.
